BHV Ploegleider Training
The Ploegleider BHV course is for employees who lead a BHV team. When multiple BHV’ers are deployed during an incident, coordination is essential — the ploegleider takes on this role, directing the team with clear leadership and structured decision-making.
Course overview
Every employer must provide competent support in the area of company emergency response (BHV). The basis for determining the required level of expertise is the risk inventory and evaluation (RI&E). Depending on the nature, size, and location of the company, and the remaining risks within it, one or more employees must be trained as BHV'ers. Every BHV'er must be competent in one or more response tasks, and the complete BHV organization must be able to carry out all tasks. When multiple BHV'ers are deployed, coordination may be required — a ploegleider (team leader) can take on this role. It is essential that a ploegleider structurally coordinates BHV activities by showing leadership, instructing BHV'ers, following procedures, providing information, giving instructions to BHV'ers, and ensuring the safety of the BHV team.
In the basic Ploegleider BHV course, you learn how to act as a team leader for a BHV team. You'll learn how to apply theoretical knowledge of fire safety, insights into smoke spread, risks, and incident scenarios to your role as ploegleider. This enables you to make well-considered decisions during a BHV deployment. You'll receive assignments that help you apply the theoretical knowledge to your own company situation. Various types of videos also support the learning process, showing examples of a real-life deployment in which you see how a ploegleider acts. Using these practical scenarios, you'll learn how to act as a team leader.
Admission requirements
A basic company emergency responder (BHV) diploma is required to take part in this course.
Exam requirements & assessment
The basic Ploegleider BHV course concludes with an exam consisting of a multiple-choice theory test and a practical test. During the exam, the following exam standard is assessed.
